A Bit About Me

The world of textiles always amazed me. As a child I used to wonder how the designs were created on fabrics. This amazement and interest for fabrics grew over time and here I am studying what once fascinated me.

As a textile designer I like to explore the various aspect of textile design be it print, woven or technical.

My style of design is minimalist, feminine-yet bold. I like to work with a colour palette combining bright colours and pastels. I am passionate about my work and open to new ideas and accept critics and try to be a better version of me every day.

I did my bachelor’s degree in Textile Design from National Institute of Fashion Technology -India, Associates Degree in Textile Design from Fashion Institute of Technology -New York and currently pursuing Master’s degree in Textile design from NID.

• Responsible for creating original artworks based on the
given seasonal concept for companies like Cost Plus World Market, Design imports, Arden, Dophes ,Faceplant etc.
• Responsible for recoloring, creating repeats and cleanup for given artworks
• Analyzing the scope of old samples by updating them for the current market.
• Working closely with the rural weavers to create design innovations in the existing skillset
• Market study and research for seasonal concepts.

GRADUATION PROJECT INTERNSHIP AT DESIGN ISLE

• Developed original prints for Cost Plus world Market.
• Developed woven products for Cost Plus World Market.
• Responsible for studying the scope of new innovative design for export house in Tamil Nadu, lndia.

• Communicated with the printing mills and transferred the information to the respective designer
