Materials And Emotions

The Stories Within: A CMF Study of Found Objects from Evening Nature Walks

This project aims to explore the emotional and sensory experiences evoked by found objects collected during evening nature walks. The focus will be on studying the colors, materials, and finishes (CMF) of these objects and how they contribute to the emotional response they elicit.

The methodology involves collecting found objects from different evening nature walks and categorizing them based on their CMF attributes. The objects are laid out and observed to determine their visual and sensory appeal, and how they can be grouped together to create a cohesive aesthetic.

Through this study, I hope to gain insights into the emotional connections we have with objects in nature and how we can use CMF to enhance these experiences. Ultimately, the findings of this study could have implications for product design, art, and other creative fields that aim to evoke emotions and tell stories through the use of materials.
